Homeschool Evaluations by EAS
I love talking to kids about what they have accomplished!
Evaluations generally take less than 30 minutes and include the parent and student.
For students meeting or exceeding standards, I will provide a simple letter to be sent to the student’s Virginia county explaining just that.  The letter will state that any questions should be directed to me.  I would be able to consult my evaluation notes to support my assessment.  It is very unlikely that there would be questions.
I need to be able to demonstrate that your child is achieving an adequate level of educational growth and progress.  I look primarily at math and language arts achievement but am interested in hearing about all areas.  I might ask your child to do some math, writing or reading at the evaluation.  For subject areas about which you are concerned, more examples of student work is helpful.  Please bring at least the following:
Writing samples (journals, formal papers, creative writing, etc.) Math work (textbook, worksheets, other examples of student work) Titles of books read recently A book that is indicative of your child’s current reading ability
Other ideas (to demonstrate achievement, facilitate conversation, or just to show off):
Artwork Favorite toy  Projects, worksheets, books read in any subject area Photographs or other mementos from special experiences
